Vibe Lab·FOUNTAIN

Gravity beats everything

A hundred and fifty sparks shoot up from a nozzle at the bottom of the screen. Gravity pulls them back down. Each spark cools from yellow to orange to red as it ages. Tap anywhere to fire a radial burst from your finger.

What it does

150 independent particles, each with position, velocity, and lifespan. Each frame: velocity gains a downward kick from gravity, position steps by velocity, lifespan ticks down. When a particle dies or flies offscreen, it respawns at the emitter.

In the real world

This is exactly how every video game explosion, sparkle effect, and rain animation works. It's also the core of Newtonian mechanics — the same F = ma that sends rockets to orbit is the only rule running here.

Painted with these colors

Every VibeBoy lab paints with these 16 colors — the same palette PICO-8 made famous. Constraints are what make pixel art feel like pixel art.
